2013

I'm still kind of in denial that it's 2014. Time is flying too fast! ( I haven't even made my new year's resolutions yet?!) 2013 was such a fun, eventful, family & friend filled year; I think i'm just sad to see it go. But i'm excited for the fresh start! 2013 will always be remembered as a happy action packed year.
To help me remember, here is my 2013 Year in Review

January

Started the new year off with a bang- my first visitor! & who other than my best girl Mads.

I couldn't get enough of my first tropical winter!

February

And Robb's 23rd. Love this guy!!

March

Month of the visitors! So much fun with Shelb.
And loved playing tour guide for my parents first trip to Hawaii!!

And then we dove with sharks. Awesome!

In April we said goodbye to some amazing friends. We miss them so much!

And then we welcomed another visitor- my dear cousin Brittany!

May

Started this month by catching my first Hawaiian wave!
And ended it with a whole bunch of hours clocked at the PCC

June

Back to the Mainland for summer!
First to Walla Walla to help with Em's special day!
Then off to Utah to celebrate my sweet Grandparent's 50th Anniversary!
And then to Portland for Brooklynn's beautiful wedding!

July

A great 4th of July celebration with my fam!
Then back to Portland for Brandalyn's fabulous wedding!
And on to Utah to stay with these cutest munchkins while their parents left town!

August

Boating to our hearts content at Prineville- always a highlight!
Then bringing Ryb back to the island for lots of Hawaiian adventures! (including Skydiving!!)
And ending the month celebrating our first year of marriage!

September

Loved ending summer Hawaiian style with the Murray fam!
And Robb was obviously so happy to start his Junior Year at BYUH! ;)

October

Pulled off the best surprise trip home for my favorite Elder's Mission Farewell!
& loved all the fall family festivities!
& of course- the return of Basketball season!! Go Seasiders!

November

Back to the mainland, much sooner than hoped for- Grandpa Labrum's funeral. So grateful for Eternal families!
Finding joy in tragedies- I got to catch Robb's Washington road games! & he made the all-tourney team
& time in Utah= time with my best friends!
We made it back just in time for a beautiful island Thanksgiving

December

Despite my efforts to stop aging, i turned 24!
& had the BEST Christmas stacation with my family!!
It was a very Mele Kalikimaka!

… & a Happy New Year!
What a year to remember. Don't know if I'll ever cover as many miles or catch as many big events, but I'm excited to see what 2014 brings!

Mele Kalikimaka

I thought it would be fun to send out a Christmas Card this year, so we made a plan to get the perfect beachy holiday picture. Robbie was home from practice early one evening so we hurried & got ready and brought Kiley along to snap our pic at the beach…. and for some reason I totally forgot that the beach is always WINDY!? Extra windy that day of course. This made for a hilarious photo adventure. Although it didn't go quite as planned, (and I'm lame and never even ordered or sent a card..), I'm so happy we have these pictures to remember our Hawaiian Christmas 2013.

And electronic Christmas cards count, right?

And then the garland snapped, haha
unfortunate wind blown dress turned into shorts anyone?!
and not so glamorous wind blown hair!

At least we got a few laughs while we were at it! And a Christmas E-Card.  Hoping for better luck next year in the Christmas Card department.

Mele Kalikimaka, from the land where palm trees sway!

Happy Harvest

This year i really wanted to feel the fall/ halloween spirit, (not that laying on a beach on an 85 degree october day doesn't do that for you…) and we found the perfect way at the Aloun Farms Pumkin Festival! It was as if we were transported off the island to a mainland county fair/ pumpkin patch with the country band, food trucks, games, and pick your own corn/ beans/ sunflowers/ gourds, and of course pumpkins. It was awesome.

We were reminded quickly that we were in fact in Hawaii, since this was probably one of the most hot days of the month!! But that's ok, the sweat didn't show up in the pictures ;)
 Happy Halloween!
