Mele Kalikimaka

I thought it would be fun to send out a Christmas Card this year, so we made a plan to get the perfect beachy holiday picture. Robbie was home from practice early one evening so we hurried & got ready and brought Kiley along to snap our pic at the beach…. and for some reason I totally forgot that the beach is always WINDY!? Extra windy that day of course. This made for a hilarious photo adventure. Although it didn't go quite as planned, (and I'm lame and never even ordered or sent a card..), I'm so happy we have these pictures to remember our Hawaiian Christmas 2013.

And electronic Christmas cards count, right?

And then the garland snapped, haha
unfortunate wind blown dress turned into shorts anyone?!
and not so glamorous wind blown hair!

At least we got a few laughs while we were at it! And a Christmas E-Card.  Hoping for better luck next year in the Christmas Card department.

Happy Harvest

This year i really wanted to feel the fall/ halloween spirit, (not that laying on a beach on an 85 degree october day doesn't do that for you…) and we found the perfect way at the Aloun Farms Pumkin Festival! It was as if we were transported off the island to a mainland county fair/ pumpkin patch with the country band, food trucks, games, and pick your own corn/ beans/ sunflowers/ gourds, and of course pumpkins. It was awesome.

We were reminded quickly that we were in fact in Hawaii, since this was probably one of the most hot days of the month!! But that's ok, the sweat didn't show up in the pictures ;)
 Happy Halloween!

Prineville

Prineville Reservoir: a little piece of heaven on earth in Central Oregon. If the desert beauty doesn't get ya, 5 days on the warm glassy water will. And if endless skiing/ wakeboarding/ tubing/ cliff jumping/ beach volleyballing/ and water trampolining doesn't do it for you, a week with the Westover Family sure will. This trip is a highlight every year- we get to do our favorite things with our favorite people! There is never a dull moment when filling "the resort" with the whole Westover clan... Constant laughter, boating, eating, games, music, and family devotional time are just a few things that make this trip the best. Robbie and I were SO glad we were able to make it to Prineville this year, and it didn't disappoint.

I LOVE Prineville, and i Love my family even more.

The Best Year Yet

A couple weeks ago Robbie and I celebrated our First Anniversary! It really is hard to believe a year has gone by already- but at the same time i feel like i've been married to Robb forever! I think I've got a new favorite holiday coming on.... it was SO fun to celebrate our love & marriage. Since Robbie had to work on the actual day, we spread the celebration out with a fancy date to town one night, and a relaxing beach day and dinner date at home the next. I love Robbie, and I've loved every day of being married to him this past year.

Anniversaries are fun, can't wait to do it again! This has truly been the best year yet.
